About Harvest Moon Estate & Winery
Harvest Moon Estate & Winery is a genuine working farm and winery on one of the most scenic stretches of Olivet Road in the Russian River Valley. Founded in 1990 by Randy and Ginny Pitts, the estate embodies the agricultural roots of the Russian River Valley before wine tourism transformed the corridor.
The farm grows Zinfandel, including old heritage vines that have been farmed by the Pitts family since their purchase, alongside Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from their RRV estate. The Zinfandel program is exceptional: concentrated, earthy, and showing the depth that old vines produce in this cool, fog-influenced appellation where Zinfandel isn't usually the focus.
Harvest Moon offers one of the most genuinely affordable and unpretentious tasting experiences in Russian River Valley. Walk-ins are always welcome, the staff is warm, and the picnic grounds overlooking the working farm and vineyards are among the most pleasant on the Olivet Road corridor.
