About Heritage Oak Winery
Heritage Oak is Lodi at its most pastoral: Tom Hoffman's family has farmed along the Mokelumne River east of Lodi for generations, and his winery pairs estate Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and whites with a property that runs down to the riverbank, walking trails, birdlife and all. Hoffman, a dedicated birder, made the nature access part of the visit.
The combination of honest farm wines and river-walk tranquility gives Heritage Oak a personality no tasting-room row can match. Bring boots and a bird list.
