Jefferson Vineyards farms the founder's experiment: the land between Monticello and Ash Lawn where Thomas Jefferson and Filippo Mazzei planted vinifera in 1774 pours estate Viognier and Bordeaux blends on the very slopes of America's first serious wine attempt.
Historic ground with genuinely solid modern wines makes the pilgrimage complete. The first vineyard, finally fulfilled.
