About Karmère Vineyards and Winery

Karmère Vineyards and Winery sits in the heart of Amador County's Shenandoah Valley, a five-generation farming family's estate whose French-style chateau tasting room has become one of the corridor's most recognizable stops. The name is a tribute to maternal devotion, and that warmth carries through a relaxed, unpretentious welcome.

Sixty-seven acres of estate vines grow in the decomposed-granite soils of the foothills, feeding a broad list that runs from Barbera, Zinfandel, Syrah and Nebbiolo to a lineup of still and sparkling wines. Visitors can taste current releases alongside future bottlings poured straight from the barrel, all for a $10 daily fee waived with purchase.

A five-generation Shenandoah Valley estate: a French-style chateau, decomposed-granite reds, and one of Amador's most accessible daily tastings.
