About Madroña Vineyards
Madrona farms some of California's highest vineyards, planted in the early 1970s near Camino at roughly 3,000 feet in the El Dorado high country, where mountain nights preserve acidity that much of the foothills cannot. The family estate, long guided by the Bush family, built its name on elevation-driven Zinfandel, Cabernet, Rhone and aromatic white varieties.
The high-elevation style runs brighter and more structured than valley-floor foothill wines, and the Apple Hill-adjacent location pairs tastings with the area's famous orchards. Altitude is the house argument, and it persuades.
