About Lange Estate Winery & Vineyards
Lange Estate Winery and Vineyards is a family-owned estate in the Dundee Hills that has been producing acclaimed Pinot Noir and Chardonnay since Don and Wendy Lange founded the winery in 1987. The estate vineyards sit at elevations between 500 and 800 feet on the volcanic Jory soils that define the appellation, and the family farms every acre with a hands-on attention to detail that reflects more than three decades of learning the land. Don Lange was among the early wave of winemakers who believed the Dundee Hills could rival the great Pinot Noir regions of Burgundy, and decades of critical acclaim have proven that vision right.
The tasting room occupies one of the most enviable perches in the valley, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing views of the vineyards, the Willamette Valley floor, and the Cascade Range beyond. The portfolio centers on estate Pinot Noir in multiple single-vineyard and reserve expressions, alongside Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. Tastings are seated and guided, offering an intimate experience that connects each wine to the specific vineyard block and vintage from which it comes. Lange has earned consistent praise, and remains one of the essential stops for anyone exploring the northern Willamette Valley.
