About Lorenzi Estate Wines

Lorenzi Estate Wines at 39470 De Portola Road is one of Temecula Valley's pioneering family estates, founded by the Lorenzi family in 1978, making it one of the oldest continuously operating wineries on the De Portola Wine Trail and a genuine piece of Temecula Valley wine history. Over four decades of farming this western corridor have given the Lorenzi family an intimate understanding of their specific terroir and the seasonal rhythms that define wine quality on this side of the appellation.

The estate produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Riesling from De Portola Road vineyard blocks where Pacific marine influence moderates the warm Temecula growing season and contributes the natural acidity that balances the region's generous fruit character. The Riesling program is a legacy of the early Temecula Valley wine era, when several pioneering producers recognized the variety's potential in this warm but marine-cooled environment.

Walk-ins are welcome daily from 11am to 5pm with a $15 tasting fee. The 1978 founding gives Lorenzi Estate a historical standing that newer De Portola producers cannot claim, and the family's continued ownership and operation across nearly five decades reflects a genuine multigenerational commitment to Temecula Valley viticulture.

"Lorenzi Estate is Temecula Valley wine with deep roots, a 1978 founding family estate that was making wine on De Portola Road before most of the valley's current wineries were conceived."

For visitors to the De Portola Road wine trail who want to connect with the appellation's pioneering history and taste wines from one of its longest-established family estates, Lorenzi Estate Wines is an essential and historically significant stop.
