About Marchelle Wines
Marchelle Wines is the collaboration of two friends: pioneering Sonoma winemaker Greg La Follette and former Silicon Valley executive Kevin Lee. Founded in 2021, the name blends Mara and Michelle, their wives' names, making the label a kind of love letter told through wine. La Follette is a genuine legend, founding winemaker at the cult Flowers Winery, a key figure in establishing the Sonoma Coast, and the last apprentice of California wine icon Andre Tchelistcheff, widely nicknamed the Vine Whisperer.
The wines reflect his decades of low-intervention craft: cool-climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Sonoma Coast and Mendocino sites, plus small-lot bottlings that revive forgotten old-vine varieties like Carignane, Colombard, Cinsaut and Pinot Meunier, sourced from heritage vineyards including one of California's oldest Pinot plantings on Sonoma Mountain. Made with native fermentations, low sulfur and extended aging on the lees, they favor restraint, purity and quiet power.
