Mercy Wines is named for the quality of mercy — the most fundamental human grace, the extension of compassion to someone without requiring that they deserve it. Wine as mercy: freely given, abundantly provided, received without the recipient needing to have earned it. The estate declares wine as a form of the grace that the mercy concept describes.
The Sonoma Coast and Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and Chardonnay program sources from maritime-influenced vineyard sites selected for their cool-climate character and site-specific expression. The mercy philosophy shapes the hospitality as much as the winemaking: visitors received without judgment, wine poured freely.
