About Messina Hof Winery Bryan
Messina Hof Winery's original Bryan-College Station flagship is where the Bonarrigo family's nearly five-decade Texas wine story began, and it remains the heart of one of the state's most complete winery tourism operations. Founded in 1977, this is the home campus of Texas's most recognized wine brand — a place where visitors can tour the production facility, stay in the on-site bed-and-breakfast, and experience the full breadth of a portfolio built across almost 50 years of Texas winemaking.
The estate includes a Harvest Weekend festival each fall, a cooking school, a restaurant, and resort-style accommodations that transform a wine visit into a two-day experience. The flagship property's scope and longevity give it a depth that no newer operation can replicate.
The wine library at Bryan contains vintages going back decades, giving serious collectors access to aged Texas wines that demonstrate the state's capacity for bottle development. Papa Paulo Port — the brand's iconic fortified wine — has been produced here since the early years and remains one of the most celebrated Texas wines by volume and reputation.
