About Mettler Family Vineyards
Mettler Family Vineyards rests on more than a century of Lodi farming, and the family has stayed close to both the vineyards and the winery. The visitor destination is a landscaped estate, but the substance underneath it is agricultural: generations of growing here, with the wines presented as an extension of that accumulated vineyard knowledge.
Estate-grown reds anchor the portfolio, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah in particular, with whites and limited releases moving in and out. What distinguishes the operation is how much of the path from vineyard to bottle the family controls directly.
The tasting property runs to several landscaped acres with a pond, lawns and event space, which makes it one of the more comfortable places in the region to spend an afternoon rather than a quick stop.
Published hours are generally Thursday through Monday, 11am to 5pm. Small parties may manage a walk-in; groups should reserve. The estate also hosts weddings, so Saturday access can change through the event season and is worth checking first.
