About Monserate Winery

Monserate Winery at 33820 Rancho California Road is a family-owned Temecula Valley estate producing Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, and Viognier from hillside vineyards on the appellation's primary wine corridor. Founded in 2015, Monserate takes its name from the historic Montserrat mountain in Catalonia, Spain, a nod to the Iberian heritage that runs through the family's winemaking philosophy and their particular affinity for Spanish and Rhône varieties alongside the Bordeaux grapes that dominate Temecula Valley.

The Rancho California Road location sits at the heart of Temecula Valley's wine district, surrounded by the rolling, oak-studded hills that define the appellation's landscape. Grenache and Tempranillo are particularly well-suited to Temecula's warm, Mediterranean growing conditions and represent some of Monserate's most distinctive and characterful productions. The Viognier program draws on the variety's natural affinity for warm, dry climates, producing an aromatic white wine with the peach and floral richness the variety delivers at its best.

Walk-ins are welcome daily from 10am to 5pm with a $20 tasting fee. The family-owned character creates an authentically personal hospitality experience, and the Spanish-influenced approach to winemaking provides a genuinely distinctive perspective within the Temecula Valley's largely Bordeaux-focused tasting room landscape.

"Monserate brings a Spanish and Rhône perspective to Temecula Valley that sets it apart, wines that remind visitors the appellation's warm, dry Mediterranean climate is equally at home with Grenache and Tempranillo as it is with Cabernet."

Wine club membership provides access to limited estate releases and members-only events. For visitors to the Rancho California Road wine trail who want to explore Temecula Valley's Iberian connection, Monserate Winery offers an authentic and quality-driven tasting experience.
