Established in 1981, Mount Aukum is one of El Dorado County's historically founding modern wineries — its nearly five decades of continuous operation spanning the period before, during, and after the Sierra Foothills' emergence as a nationally recognized wine region. The Tower Road estate produces Zinfandel, Barbera, Grenache, and Petite Sirah from high-elevation El Dorado County estate vineyard blocks.
