Nella Terra means 'Into the Earth' in Italian, and the name is the philosophy: this multi-generational, family-owned boutique winery in the Sunol hills believes great wine starts with stewardship of the soil. The estate program spans eight varietals planted across a patchwork of hillside microclimates, with total production held to just over 500 cases a year.

The wines have earned multiple gold and silver medals at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, including the 2016 and 2017 Estate Grown Pinot Noirs, while the property itself collects accolades of its own - The Knot's Best of Weddings and WeddingWire's Couples' Choice among them - as one of the East Bay's most sought-after vineyard wedding venues, complete with a signature event tent and manicured gardens.

The tasting room patio opens seasonally on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 to 5 (typically from mid-April), with bocce and picnic rentals available and wine pickups on weekends or by appointment.
