New Kent built itself from salvage: the winery between Richmond and Williamsburg raised its tasting hall from centuries-old reclaimed timber and brick, estate White Norton and Meritage pours giving the I-64 corridor a landmark of recycled grandeur. Tastings pour daily-friendly hours at the exit, and the reclaimed hall's craftsmanship rewards a slow look between flights.
