About Oak Ridge Winery
Oak Ridge Winery is Lodi history you can drink. Built in 1934 as the East-Side Winery, a cooperative of local winegrowers, it is the oldest continuously operating winery in the city - and its tasting room is a landmark in its own right: Das Weinhaus, a converted 50,000-gallon redwood tank (Tank No. 150) that has welcomed tasters since 1965, making it Lodi's first tasting room.
Winegrower Rudy Maggio and family purchased the property in 2002 and spent the following decades transforming the historic cooperative into a state-of-the-art winery while keeping its farming soul. The family farms roughly 2,500 acres of Lodi appellation vineyards under Lodi Rules, America's first third-party certified sustainable winegrowing program, and produces small lots of hand-crafted wines alongside custom winemaking for a roster of other brands.
The signature pour is OZV - Old Zin Vines - the old-vine Zinfandel that made the label a national name, joined by Old Soul and the deep-lodi Moss Roxx. The tasting room and patio are 21-and-over; dogs on leash are welcome outside, outside food is welcome, and reservations are encouraged for parties of four or more. Hours are Thursday through Monday, 11am to 5pm - confirm before visiting.
