About Pastori Winery
Pastori Winery is one of the oldest wineries in northern Sonoma County, a family operation rooted on land that Italian immigrants first planted in 1914 near Cloverdale, at the top of the Alexander Valley. For decades its heart and soul was Frank Pastori, a second-generation farmer, beloved local historian and legendary raconteur who tended the vines into his 90s and charmed visitors for years with stories in a rustic tasting room he built inside a converted prune dehydrator.
Frank passed away in 2020 at the age of 100, and today his grandson, fourth-generation Paolo Pastori-Ng, is reviving the family estate, once again making wine from the old-vine vineyard planted in 1914, while honoring its old-school character. The lineup centers on estate old-vine Zinfandel, widely regarded as some of the area's best, alongside Cabernet, Carignane and blends.
A visit is genuinely old-school Sonoma: rustic, personal and by reservation.
