About Peirano Estate Vineyards
Peirano Estate Vineyards sits on a Lodi property the family first planted in the early 1880s, and five generations are connected to it. Fourth-generation vintner Lance Randolph led the development of the modern winery in the early 1990s. The family's original house became part of Lodi's early tasting-room history, which gives the estate an unusually direct line from nineteenth-century farming to present-day hospitality.
The range is broader than the old-vine bottling the property is known for. Zinfandel matters here, but Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Chardonnay, Verdelho and others have all appeared across the portfolio.
Tasting is generally Wednesday through Sunday, 11am to 5pm. Indoor tasting is for guests 21 and over, while families can use the designated outdoor and picnic areas under current policy, and leashed dogs are usually limited to appropriate outdoor space. If you are arriving with children, food or a dog, confirm the current rules first.
The property offers vineyard views and room to sit for a while, and the continuity of the place is the reason to come.
