About Peloton Cellars
Peloton Cellars is named for the cycling peloton — the main pack of riders in a road race who collectively reduce wind resistance by riding closely together, each benefiting from the drafting effect created by the riders ahead. The name declares a wine philosophy of collaboration: the best results come from producers working together, sharing knowledge, and collectively raising quality in a region.
The El Pomar District estate produces Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Zinfandel from calcareous estate vineyards with the team-oriented philosophy the cycling name implies. Walk-in daily, dog-friendly, picnic-welcoming — the peloton approach applied to wine hospitality: everyone drafts together, everyone benefits, wine tourism is better when estates work collectively to welcome visitors.
The estate's Grenache and Syrah in particular reflect the El Pomar District's calcareous limestone character — the kind of wines that make Paso Robles' east-side terroir worth discovering.
