About Peachy Canyon Winery
Peachy Canyon Winery at 1480 N. Bethel Road in Templeton is one of the Paso Robles wine region's founding Zinfandel estates, established in 1988 by Doug and Nancy Beckett. The Becketts helped establish Zinfandel as one of the region's signature varieties, and Peachy Canyon's consistent commitment to old-vine Paso Robles Zinfandel over three-plus decades has made the winery a genuine pillar of the Central Coast wine community.
The Bethel Road location gives Peachy Canyon access to some of the older vine Zinfandel blocks that define the appellation's Zinfandel heritage, with vines old enough to produce the concentration and complexity that younger plantings cannot replicate. Zinfandel is the foundation, multiple single-vineyard expressions covering different aspects of Paso Robles' varied Zinfandel terroir, alongside Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Grenache.
Walk-ins are welcome daily from 11am to 5pm with a $15 starting fee, one of the most accessible tasting fees for a Paso Robles estate of this historical significance. The family-owned character and three-plus decades of Zinfandel commitment make Peachy Canyon essential for any serious exploration of Paso Robles Zinfandel.
