About Plough Family Vineyards
Plough Family Vineyards is a family-owned estate tucked into Green Valley, the small farming pocket of Solano County that sits within the Suisun Valley wine community. After retiring from their careers, Tom and Carolyn West turned to winemaking, and have crafted handmade wine here since 2005.
The Wests keep production small and hands-on, focusing on estate-grown Petite Sirah and Zinfandel, two varieties that thrive in the warm, marine-cooled inland climate. The estate vineyard is not open for public tastings, but the wines are poured at the Suisun Valley Filling Station and sold online, so they are easy to find when you visit the valley.
Hours, tasting fees, and reservation policies change with the season, so it is worth checking the winery's website or calling ahead before you visit, especially on weekends. The details on this profile may have shifted since publication, and the producer is always the most authoritative source.
