About Pretty-Smith Vineyards & Winery
Pretty-Smith is one of the north county's longer-established small wineries, farming estate vineyards above the Salinas River in San Miguel since the 1980s era of Paso's first expansion. The hyphenated name joins the founding family names, and the southwestern-styled tasting room became a Pleasant Valley trail fixture.
The estate lineup runs to Bordeaux varieties and blends with north-county value pricing. Pretty-Smith rewards the drive with a slice of Paso history that predates the region's celebrity era.
