Woodinville wine country is the Pacific Northwest's most concentrated wine tasting destination — a small city in King County where over 130 tasting rooms cluster within a few square miles, all producing wine from Eastern Washington's finest vineyards. It is the urban face of Washington wine: easily accessible, extraordinarily diverse, and the right first stop for anyone approaching Pacific Northwest wine for the first time.

The Woodinville model is unique in American wine country. Virtually no Woodinville winery grows its own grapes here — the wet Puget Sound climate is poorly suited to viticulture. Instead, winemakers source fruit from Walla Walla Valley, Yakima Valley, Red Mountain, Columbia Valley, and other premium Eastern Washington appellations, bringing the raw material west to their production facilities and tasting rooms. The result is a tasting hub that spans the full range of Washington wine styles from a single geographic location.

The Hollywood District and Warehouse District are the two main tasting room clusters. The Hollywood District anchors DeLille Cellars, Chateau Ste. Michelle, Columbia Winery, and several other well-established producers in a more traditional estate setting. The Warehouse District — a converted industrial zone — has become the home of artisan producers, younger winemakers, and the most innovative wine experiences in the Pacific Northwest.
