Closed - Production Ended ~2023
Rocca Family Vineyards, known for tilling its vine rows with draft horses rather than tractors, appears to have ceased production around 2023. Yelp lists the business as closed and the Napa Wine Project profile is archived with a note that production ended, with no current inventory listed by retailers. The winery's historic Victorian tasting room in south Napa and its Grigsby (Yountville) and Collinetta (Coombsville) estate vineyards are no longer associated with an active tasting operation. This profile is kept for reference.

About Rocca Family Vineyards

Rocca Family Vineyards was founded in 1999 by Mary Rocca, a former cosmetic dentist, and her husband Eric Grigsby, a pain-management physician who founded the Napa Pain Institute. The winery poured from a historic Victorian tasting room in south Napa built by General Vallejo and produced roughly 2,000 cases a year at a custom-crush facility.

Fruit came from two estate sites, the 21-acre Grigsby Vineyard in Yountville and the 11-acre Collinetta Vineyard in Coombsville, and the couple were known for using draft horses to work the vine rows as a gentler alternative to tractors. Signature wines included 100% varietal Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, plus blends such as Vespera and Bad Boy Red.

Rocca Family Vineyards, known for tilling its Napa vine rows with draft horses, appears to have ceased production around 2023.
