About Robert Sinskey Vineyards
Robert Sinskey Vineyards was founded in 1986 by Dr. Robert (Bob) Sinskey, a cataract surgeon who released his first three wines, a Pinot Noir, Merlot and Chardonnay, from a winery built in the Stags Leap District in 1988. Bob passed away in 2015, and the business is now run by his son Rob and daughter-in-law Maria Sinskey.
In late 2022 the family sold its longtime 42-acre Stags Leap District home to The Wonderful Company and leased it back while consolidating operations onto roughly 200 organically and biodynamically farmed acres across five Carneros vineyard properties, including the newly acquired Wilding Farm. Winemaker Jeff Virnig, who has overseen every vintage since 1991, continues to produce around 12,000 cases a year built around food-friendly Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Bordeaux-style blends.
