About Rochioli Vineyards & Winery
Rochioli Vineyards has been farming the Russian River Valley since 1938, when Joe Rochioli Sr. planted the first vines on Westside Road. The estate is now recognized as one of the founding addresses of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir — a grape that the second and third generations of the Rochioli family championed when it was still considered a commercial risk in Sonoma County.
The vineyards — Joe's Block, West Block, Little Hill, and the Estate Block — are among the most cited single-vineyard sources in California wine. Multiple acclaimed producers, including Williams Selyem and Gary Farrell, have produced celebrated wines from Rochioli fruit. The estate's own bottlings, available only through a mailing list and the tasting room, are among the most sought-after in Sonoma County.
Rochioli is open for tasting by appointment and sells only through the mailing list and winery direct — retail availability is virtually non-existent. A visit to the Westside Road tasting room is a pilgrimage for any serious California Pinot Noir enthusiast.
