About Rued Winery

Rued Winery is one of the Russian River Valley's original Chardonnay pioneer estates. The Rued family planted their Occidental Road vineyards in the 1970s, among the earliest Chardonnay plantings in what would become one of California's most celebrated cool-climate Chardonnay corridors.

The estate's heritage vines have supplied fruit to many of the Russian River Valley's most prestigious producers over the decades, including Chateau Montelena at various points. Today the family produces their own wines from the original estate plantings, offering visitors a direct connection to the root-stock and farming heritage that helped establish the RRV Chardonnay reputation.

The Occidental Road estate has similar terroir to the Bacigalupi, Dutton, and other legendary Chardonnay farming families that made this stretch of Santa Rosa famous. Rued Winery offers one of the most historically grounded and personally authentic small-estate experiences on the corridor.

At its Occidental Rd, Sonoma County location, Rued Winery presents a featured lineup that includes Estate Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Reserve Chardonnay, and Zinfandel. Together, these bottles provide a focused introduction to the varieties, vineyard sources, and style that define the winery's current portfolio.
