About Sand Hollow Winery
Sand Hollow Winery is a rural Licking County winery worth approaching as its own destination rather than through older references to a former SpeakEasy concept. The current winery storefront confirms Sand Hollow Winery at 12558 Sand Hollow Road in Heath, with an active wine and food offering. For visitors, the rural Heath property is the destination to use today, which helps avoid outdated Newark-related references. The setting is one of the strongest reasons to visit.
Sand Hollow occupies a countryside property in Licking County that is also promoted for weddings and special events, with vineyards, wooded surroundings and water contributing to the sense of escape. It is a better fit for travelers seeking a rural afternoon than for someone looking for an urban tasting-room crawl. Because private events are part of the business, checking current public hours and event access before driving is essential. The current online storefront organizes offerings across dry red, dry white and sweet wine categories and also includes food, which suggests a visitor experience designed for more than quick retail pickup.
Sand Hollow's appeal is therefore less about chasing a single famous bottle and more about having a relaxed place to sample a range of styles in a scenic setting. Travelers coming from Columbus or exploring Licking County can use it as a destination stop rather than assuming Central Ohio wine begins and ends within the city. Wino Notion would describe Sand Hollow as an off-the-beaten-path winery where the property itself is a major part of the experience. It is particularly suitable for couples and small groups who want a slower rural visit, but it requires a little planning: confirm the latest opening schedule, make sure a private event is not limiting access, and navigate specifically to the Heath winery address. For travel planning, use the Sand Hollow Winery name and the Heath address rather than the older SpeakEasy reference.
