Savant Wines is a small-production Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon label founded in 2011, drawing its name from the French-derived English term for a person of profound and specialized knowledge, a quality the winemaking team aspires to in their deep, focused engagement with Napa Valley terroir and viticulture. The label produces wines from carefully selected vineyard sources with an emphasis on site specificity and minimal winemaking intervention.
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is the primary focus, with production maintained at intentionally small volumes to allow for the kind of barrel-by-barrel attention that elevates boutique Napa labels above the broader commercial tier. Vineyard sources span several of the valley's most recognized appellations, with sourcing decisions driven by vintage conditions and the winemaking team's evolving assessment of which sites are performing best.
Tastings are by appointment at $65, with an intimate format designed for direct engagement with the winemaking philosophy.
