About Scott Paul Wines

Scott Paul Wines is an artisanal producer of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir based in the historic wine town of Carlton, Oregon. It was founded in 1999 by Scott Paul Wright, who soon relocated from California to Oregon and served as managing director of Domaine Drouhin Oregon, immersing the brand in the Burgundian tradition that still defines its style.

The winery's mission is to hand-craft small lots of pure, elegant, graceful Pinot Noir, wines built on finesse rather than power. Its operation occupies two restored Carlton landmarks: the winery in a 1900 former granary, and a brick tasting room in a 1915 former creamery. Alongside its Oregon Pinot, Scott Paul has long imported wines from small family domaines in Burgundy and grower Champagne, offering guests a rare New World and Old World Pinot comparison.

After closing in 2019, the label has been reborn under winemaker Jamie Brown, who carries forward its focus on elegance and site-driven winemaking from distinct Willamette Valley vineyards. Because visiting details have changed over the years, it is best to contact the winery for current tasting room hours.

Elegant, Burgundy-inspired Willamette Valley Pinot Noir from historic Carlton.
