About SEAWOLF Wines

SEAWOLF Wines is the family label of winemakers Jesse and Emma Hall, a surfer-owned, woman-owned partnership perched at 2,000 feet in the Yorkville Highlands, the first winery travelers reach on Highway 128 as they cross from Sonoma County into Mendocino. The 14-acre estate vineyard is part of a 165-acre mountain property Jesse's father purchased in 1992, organically farmed and dry-farmed on natural rainfall alone.

Production stays under 400 cases a year of native-fermented, minimal-intervention wines: a Musque-clone Sauvignon Blanc that sells out fast, light-handed Zinfandel and Grenache, cool-climate Merlot and Cabernet, Pinot Noir, and bottlings from historic sources like the Battaglini vineyard, planted from Tuscan cuttings in the Russian River Valley in the late 1800s. Grapes are picked by hand in the cool of night to hold their character.

The outdoor tasting room delivers what the elevation promises: panoramic views over the estate vines toward Anderson and Alexander valleys, typically perched above the fog line. Tastings, hosted by the winemakers themselves, include a vineyard tour with a seated flight, run long and unhurried, and reward the short detour up Highlands Ridge Road.
