About Seghesio Family Vineyards
Seghesio Family Vineyards is one of the great stories of Italian-American winemaking in California. Founded in 1895 when Italian immigrant Eduardo Seghesio planted his first Zinfandel vines in Sonoma County, the winery has remained in family hands through five generations and over 125 consecutive vintages.
Located in downtown Healdsburg — just steps from the Plaza — Seghesio is one of the most accessible, welcoming, and genuinely fun winery experiences in Sonoma County. The Grove is a relaxed outdoor space with bocce courts, picnic tables, and wine by the glass that requires no reservation and welcomes kids, dogs, and picnics. It's wine country at its most democratic.
Seghesio's wines focus on what they've always done best: Zinfandel — including their legendary Home Ranch and San Lorenzo single-vineyard bottlings from old vines planted in the early 1900s — alongside Italian varietals (Sangiovese, Barbera, Vermentino) that honor the family's heritage.
At its Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County location, Seghesio Family Vineyards presents a featured lineup that includes Home Ranch Zinfandel, San Lorenzo Zinfandel, Sonoma Zinfandel, and Cortina Sangiovese. Together, these bottles provide a focused introduction to the varieties, vineyard sources, and style that define the winery's current portfolio.
