About Seven Hills Winery
Seven Hills Winery occupies a pivotal position in Walla Walla wine history — the winery that first brought the Seven Hills Vineyard to prominence, establishing the site as one of the valley's most celebrated and widely shared addresses. Founded in 1988 by Casey and Vicky McClellan, the winery farms its own estate vineyard blocks on the slope that gave it its name.
The Seven Hills Vineyard, which the McClellan family helped establish and develop from the late 1980s, has become the source material for benchmark wines from multiple Walla Walla producers including L'Ecole No 41, Pepper Bridge, and Leonetti Cellar. Seven Hills Winery's own bottlings from the estate offer the most direct expression of this historic site's character.
The portfolio focuses on Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah — the three varieties that have defined Walla Walla's reputation for serious red wine. The winery's location near the Oregon border gives it access to both the Washington Valley and the Oregon side of the appellation.
