About Signal Ridge Vineyards
Signal Ridge farms above the fog: the vineyard sits near the crest of the Mendocino Ridge appellation at roughly 2,500 feet, among California's highest coastal plantings, growing Pinot Noir and cool-climate varieties on ocean-facing ground that earns the islands-in-the-sky AVA its name.
The extreme site produces small lots of mountain-tense wine and one of the state's more dramatic vineyard stories. Above the marine layer, barely below the clouds.
