About Spa City Tropical Winery & Gifts

Spa City Tropical Winery & Gifts is permanently closed. It stood at 258 Central Ave in Hot Springs, Arkansas, on the downtown strip across from Bathhouse Row, and both TripAdvisor and Yelp now carry the listing as permanently closed. No closure date was announced publicly; the last visitor reviews date to December 2019. What it was, while it lasted, was a small storefront that made its wine from fruit rather than grapes and sold gifts alongside it.

The pours were the point. The lineup ran to tropical and orchard fruit: banana, mango, pineapple, passionfruit and guava on the tropical side, plus watermelon, strawberry, peach, blackberry, cranberry and a chocolate bottling. Wine smoothies were part of the offer too. Tastings were free, and reviewers consistently described the range as sweet rather than dry and the staff as generous with samples. The gift shelves gave the visit a second act once the tasting was done.

There is nothing to plan a visit to at this address now. Hot Springs remains a walkable downtown with Bathhouse Row, Hot Springs National Park and a run of shops and bars along Central Avenue, so the block itself is still worth the stroll. If you are chasing Arkansas fruit wine specifically, look to producers elsewhere in the state. Confirm current details with any business before you travel, since storefronts on this stretch turn over often.

This winery is listed here for reference. It is closed, so there is no tasting room to visit.
