About Stevenot Winery

Stevenot carries one of Calaveras County's founding wine names: Barden Stevenot, descendant of a Gold Rush pioneer family, launched the county's modern wine era in the 1970s from the historic Shaw Ranch outside Murphys, making Stevenot the region's revival flagship for a generation. The label continues under later stewardship with a Murphys tasting presence.

The Stevenot name remains shorthand for Calaveras wine history, its founder honored as the father of the county's renaissance. A pour with a pedigree.

The Gold Rush family name that relaunched Calaveras wine in the 1970s from historic Shaw Ranch.
