Tenuta Winery's slogan is 'Friends For Life,' and the whole operation is built to earn it. This Livermore Valley winery pours fun, educational tastings seven days a week and has become one of the region's most genuinely welcoming stops - openly kid friendly, dog friendly, and even cyclist friendly for riders working the valley loops.
Families are courted rather than tolerated: cartoons play for kids on a 15-foot movie screen, Easter Sunday brings an egg hunt, Christmas brings free photos with Santa, and every fall the 'I Love Lucy' Grape Stomp lets everyone climb into the bin. Grown-ups get the wines - plus a custom label program that turns birthdays, weddings, showers, retirements, and graduations into personalized bottles where every bottle tells a story.
The tasting room at 633 Kalthoff Common opens Monday through Thursday 11 to 5 and Friday through Sunday 11 to 6. Walk-ins are welcome; call (925) 699-4576 for groups or events, and confirm the current schedule before a special trip.
