About The Ojai Vineyard
The Ojai Vineyard takes its name from Ojai — the Chumash word for 'moon' — the small Ventura County mountain valley town whose Chumash Indigenous name declares the moon's importance in the landscape. Adam Tolmach's 1983 estate is one of California's founding Rhône pioneer operations, his Syrah and Grenache from the cool Ojai Valley and Santa Barbara County sources establishing California's Rhône variety credentials in the same era that the California Rhône Rangers movement was forming. Wine Advocate has scored Ojai's Syrah at 92–96 points.
