About Thomas Fogarty Winery
Thomas Fogarty Winery carries the full name of its founder — Dr. Thomas Fogarty, the Stanford cardiovascular surgeon whose medical career funded his wine passion and whose Irish-heritage surname appears on one of the Santa Cruz Mountains' most historically founding wine estates. Dr. Fogarty established his Skyline Boulevard estate in 1978, producing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from high-elevation Santa Cruz Mountains estate vineyard blocks above Woodside.
The dramatic ridgeline setting — 2,300 feet above Silicon Valley with views extending to San Francisco Bay on clear days — makes Thomas Fogarty Winery one of the Santa Cruz Mountains' most visually spectacular tasting room experiences. The estate produces Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Gewürztraminer from the Skyline Boulevard estate and purchased vineyard sources.
Wine Spectator has scored Thomas Fogarty's Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir at 88–92 points.
