About Topa Mountain Winery
Topa Mountain Winery built its reputation on two landscaped acres just outside downtown Ojai, where the Topatopa Mountains frame the grounds and the estate's first vines went in back in 2009. Owner Lauro Guerra opened the winery in 2016 to showcase wines grown in the Ojai Valley region, with Rhône varieties, Barbera and Tempranillo among the plantings.
The visiting model has changed: the walk-in tasting room era has ended, and the winery now hosts wine tasting, by-the-glass and by-the-bottle visits strictly by reservation, for groups up to twelve, arranged through reserve@topawines.com.
For travelers, that makes Topa a planned stop rather than a drop-in, and the reward is a quieter version of one of Ojai's prettiest wine settings, famous for its pink-moment sunsets over the mountains.
