About Garden City Wine Country
Garden City is Idaho wine's front door. Eight tasting rooms line the Chinden Boulevard corridor and Boise River Greenbelt in this small city wedged between Boise and Eagle, creating the most walkable urban wine district in the Pacific Northwest outside Portland or Woodinville.

Telaya, Cinder, Split Rail, Proletariat, VEER, Laissez Faire, Morris Hill, and Rolling Hills: source grapes from the Snake River Valley and Eagle Foothills AVAs, where high-desert conditions at 2,500+ feet elevation produce wines with remarkable concentration. Telaya's Bordeaux blends and Cinder's volcanic-soil Syrah have put Idaho on the national wine map.
The Boise River Greenbelt connects Garden City's tasting rooms to downtown Boise's restaurant scene, making a bike-and-wine afternoon the quintessential Garden City experience. No reservations needed at most rooms, no pretension, and pours that consistently surprise visitors who came to Idaho for the mountains and discovered the wine.

Getting There
Immediately west of downtown Boise on Chinden Boulevard (US-20/26). The Boise River Greenbelt connects Garden City to downtown Boise and Eagle by bike path.
When to Visit
Year-round, most tasting rooms are open Thursday through Sunday. Summer and fall are peak season. The Boise River Greenbelt is best May through October.
