About Trecini

Trecini is a boutique Russian River Valley winery built on an Italian foundation. It was founded in 2000 by the Vicini family, Tuscan-born John Vicini, who brought a deep love of wine to Sonoma, along with his wife Cathy and son David; the name Trecini is a play on the three Vicinis.

The family grew premium Russian River grapes before launching their own label, crafting lower-alcohol, minimally manipulated wines meant to let true varietal character and softer, food-friendly undertones shine. The award-winning lineup has spanned Russian River Sauvignon Blanc, estate Pinot Noir and Merlot, Rockpile Zinfandel, late-harvest Sauvignon Blanc, and even a sparkling Zinfandel, along with Italian varieties like Barbera and Vermentino.

In 2025 the Trecini brand was acquired by the Camerons, a seventh-generation Sonoma County farming family, who are carrying it forward as an estate-grown label. Note that the tasting experience is in transition, the original downtown Santa Rosa tasting room has closed and a new one is planned, so it's best to check ahead or contact the winery directly before visiting.
