About Wentworth Vineyards

Wentworth Vineyards began in 2014 when Mark Wentworth acquired raw coastal land with a plan to farm organically and regeneratively, and it has since become one of Anderson Valley's most decorated young producers: the 2023 Wentworth Vineyard Pinot Noir earned a perfect 100-point score from Wine Enthusiast, a rare milestone for a small family winery in the valley.

The 80-acre estate holds over 25 acres of vines across three distinct sites within a dozen miles of the Pacific, from 400 to 1,260 feet: the high-elevation Wentworth Vineyard in the Mendocino Ridge AVA and the mid-slope Abel and Nash Mill vineyards in Anderson Valley. Everything is estate grown, hand picked and hand sorted, centered on site-specific Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with a splash of Gruner Veltliner, all shaped by regenerative farming and a conservation ethic that extends to 1 Percent For The Planet and Save the Redwoods.

The tasting room lives at The Madrones in Philo, the valley's Mediterranean-style compound of gardens, shops and lodging, open Friday through Monday with reservations recommended through hospitality director Moreo Rivera. Weekends add library pours and live music in the rose garden, with small bites available from the on-site Wickson restaurant, and vineyard tours can be arranged by appointment.

Regeneratively farmed estate Pinot, including a 100-point bottling, poured in the rose garden at The Madrones.
