About Yorba Wines

Yorba Wines is named for Chris Yorba's family surname — the Yorba family whose ancestors were among Spanish colonial California's most historically significant land grant families. The Yorba family received the Rancho Cañón de Santa Ana in 1834, a 62,000-acre grant in Southern California, making them among the most prominent Californio families of the Mexican California era. The Yorba name on a Sierra Foothills Zinfandel label brings this deep California Spanish colonial heritage to the Gold Rush country.

The estate produces Zinfandel, Grenache, and Petite Sirah from Shenandoah Valley Amador County vineyard sources with the California heritage philosophy the historic Yorba family name implies.
