About Albemarle CiderWorks
Albemarle CiderWorks resurrects Jefferson's apples: the Shelton family's North Garden orchard preserves hundreds of heritage varieties, Albemarle Pippin above all, pressing single-varietal dry ciders that made the operation the state's pomological conscience. Tastings pour the varietal range side by side, and the nursery sells the very heritage trees the ciders celebrate.
Heirloom preservation and serious dry cider built national cider-world standing. The old apples, kept alive.
