About Anaba Wines
Anaba Wines takes its name from the anabatic winds — warm breezes that rise from valley floors up hillside slopes — that cool the estate's Carneros vineyards each afternoon and give their wines a distinctive freshness. The working windmill on the estate property is both functional and symbolic: wind shapes the character of everything grown here.
Founded in 2003, Anaba focuses on Rhône varietals (Grenache, Syrah, Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier) alongside Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from their hilltop Carneros estate — a combination that reflects both the cool-climate character of the appellation and the winery's appreciation for Mediterranean varieties.
The tasting experience is relaxed and genuinely welcoming — dogs are invited, the views from the hilltop over the Carneros appellation are beautiful, and the wines are priced to encourage discovery rather than intimidation.
