About Anarchy Wine Co.
Anarchy Wine Co. is named for anarchy — not chaos, but the political philosophy that rejects external rulers and imposed authority. Applied to wine, the Paso Robles estate declares freedom from received wisdom about how California wine must be made, what it must taste like, and what the rules dictate about varietal blending, winemaking intervention, and pricing.
The El Pomar District estate produces Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Zinfandel from calcareous limestone estate vineyards with the no-rules philosophy the name announces. Blending is done without genre constraint — if Grenache and Cabernet want to be together in a blend, they are; if Syrah makes a better single-varietal wine, it stands alone.
The daily walk-in tasting room is as unpretentious as the name promises: dog-friendly, picnic-welcoming, family-hospitable, with estate wines priced to welcome curious visitors who might not otherwise explore Paso Robles' calcareous east-side terroir.

Paso Robles / Anarchy Estate
Anarchy's aptly-named red blend — no rules about what goes in, only rules about what tastes good, from the El Pomar District calcareous estate.
