Andretti Winery was founded in 1996 by racing legend Mario Andretti with business partner Joe Antonini, the former chairman and CEO of Kmart. Its Big Ranch Road property in the Oak Knoll District was designed to feel like a rambling Italian village, a tribute to Andretti’s roots in Montona, Italy, and for two decades it was one of Napa’s most recognizable celebrity-founded wineries, producing Italian and French varietals.
The winery’s run appears to have ended: reports indicate the Big Ranch Road lease expired in 2021, a later downtown tasting outlet wound down, and remaining inventory was liquidated in 2025. The brand’s website remained online as of mid-2026, so we retain this profile for reference, but treat any visit plans with caution.
