About Annulus Cellars
Annulus Cellars is the family project of biotech investor Luke Evnin and attorney-turned-nonprofit-leader Deann Wright, who bought a Rutherford property in 2000, a decade after marrying at Sullivan Estate, and launched the brand with daughters Alexandra and Elena. Winemaker Nigel Kinsman directs production, and Bordeaux oenologist Michel Rolland collaborated on blending from the inaugural 2021 vintage through the 2024 blending decisions.
Fruit comes from some of Napa's most storied ground: Beckstoffer Las Piedras in St. Helena, first planted in the 1840s; Vine Hill Ranch in Oakville's Mayacamas foothills; and the 1520 Vineyard on Diamond Mountain, originally planted in 1989 as Reverie. Total production stays under 900 cases, sold direct through the website and poured by appointment at Wheeler Farms south of St. Helena.
