About Atticus Wine
Atticus Wine is a boutique, family-owned and woman-owned winery in Yamhill, Oregon, in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA of the Willamette Valley. Owners Ximena and Guy Orrego-Insley fell for the valley on a 2004 visit, planted Atticus Vineyard from a former clover field in 2005 and made it their home in 2007.
The estate is dedicated to gentle, restrained winemaking and small-lot, handcrafted Pinot Noir from its own vineyard, with bottlings that include a Willamette Valley blend, a Select, and the estate Atticus Vineyard Pinot Noir, plus a limited rose. Peruvian-born Ximena studied winemaking at Chemeketa and interned at Raptor Ridge before leading the cellar.
Atticus offers a small, limited tasting experience by appointment only, so it is best to call or email ahead to arrange a private visit. Production is intentionally small and offerings change by vintage, so confirm current availability before planning a trip.
